Our city faces many issues, including supporting those on the frontlines of our community. I’m concerned for our first responders, whether it be attracting the best new candidates or retaining our most experienced. Those who sacrifice for our safety and security deserve to know our city has their best interests in mind. This is why I am proud to announce that I have attained the endorsement from the Virginia Police Benevolent Association for my campaign. Forging this relationship now allows me a head start in the work to ensure we have the best police force in Virginia for the years ahead.
~ Jason Wooldridge
"We are proud to endorse Jason Wooldridge for Suffolk City Council. He is a military veteran who has a common-sense approach to government. This coupled with his support of law enforcement will greatly benefit the citizens of Suffolk." said Virginia Police Benevolent Association President Joe Woloszyn.
The Virginia Police Benevolent Association is a division of the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Inc., a not-for-profit professional organization dedicated to improving the law enforcement profession. PBA members are full-time or retired employees of the various federal, state, county and municipal law enforcement and correctional agencies in Virginia. This professional association, funded by membership dues, provides legal, legislative, disciplinary and other representation to member officers as well as an accidental death benefit to members’ beneficiaries. The PBA prohibits members from engaging in or condoning any strike by law enforcement officers, electing instead to represent members through aggressive political action. My friend and lifeling Suffolkonian Richard Gwaltney has issued a personal endorsement to me as a "common sense leader who will prmote small business, strengthen our infrastructure, and conserve our agricultural heritage."
I am more than honored that a long time upstanding friend and citzen of Suffolk would feel strongly enough to present this to me.
Thank you so much Mr. Gwaltney!
